Non-alcoholic lager beer
Non-alcoholic lager beer is widely available. But lagers are simply beers brewed for easy 'drinking'. They do not have such a predominant taste as, for example, IPAs. In alcohol-free IPA beers, the absence of alcohol is fairly easily compensated by the hops, so the difference with the alcoholic varieties is hardly noticeable. With a pilsner, it is really the alcohol that gives the beer its distinctive flavour. This makes it quite a challenge to create good non-alcoholic pilsner beers. Lager beers without alcohol
Despite the fact that it is difficult to brew good alcohol-free lager beers, we see that they are getting better and better over the years. Technological developments have made it possible to extract the alcohol by distillation after brewing the lager, and to add back to the beer the aromas lost during the heating process. Because such a process does require a substantial investment, it is really only profitable when brewing in high volumes. This is why the best non-alcoholic pilsners come mainly from the larger breweries.

Alcohol-free IPAs and other alcohol-free special beers may be becoming increasingly popular, but non-alcoholic lagers are still the most consumed.
